Mounita Khan Ishana is a fabulous and famous actress and model. Her nick
name is only ‘Ishana’. Ishana is best known for her participation in
Lux Channel I Superstar 2008, where she was the first Runner Up. She is a
very popular ramp model. Ishana performed in many big budget TV
commercials, such as Fair and lovely max fairness cream, Banglalink,
Citycell, and Pran. Ishana also acted in many TV Dramas. Recently she
got offer for performing in a Movie, which she denied by saying that she
is not yet ready for silver screen.
Early Life:
Ishana’s father Mahbubul Alam Khan is a businessman. Though, Mahbubul Alam was involved with Drama Theater in his youth. Her mother Nilima Islam was an elected Cultural Secretary of Students in Comilla Victoria College. That is why Ishana was always in touch with cultural activities throughout her childhood.
Career:
Mounita Khan Ishana first got media attention by participating in Bangladeshi Beauty Pageant Lux Channel I Superstar 2008 competition. She was the first runners up of the event. Lux Channel I Superstar is considered as the most prestigious beauty pageant in Bangladesh, so the top contestants of that contest get mainstream media attention for that. So, securing the 2nd position in that contest led Ishana to get many offers to perform in TVC and TV Dramas. Though, first two years of her showbiz career, she limited her work only to TVCs. Her most notable TVCs are Fair and lovely max fairness cream, Panasoinc, Manz Active, Banglalink, Citycell, and Pran.
Ishana debuted as an actress in Tonmoy Tansen’s Telefilm “Firiye Dilam Tomer Prithibi”. After that she never had to look back. She then started to regularly appear in TV Dramas. Her most notable TV Dramas are Murad Parvez’s “Ondho Tirondaj”, Komol Chowdhury’s “Byfocal”, Irani Bishwas’s “Moner Janala”, Asim Gomez’s “Red Line”, “Khonikaloy”, “Genaration Next Dot Com”, Choyonika Chowdhury’s “Akasher Nichey Manush”, Shokal Ahmed’s “Shimana Periye”, Anu Ashraf’s “Tal Betal”, Shahadat Mamun’s “One Test”, Azizul Hakim’s “Nij Grihey Porobashi”, Tushar Ahmed’s “Aunko Onam Eingreji”, and Goutam Kouri’s “Lampostey Lege Thaka Biborno Bikel”.
